You work on large and complex EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) projects, on the basis of public or private contracts. Your engineers and KPI project managers are fully committed to personalized training, support for employees to improve their skills, or you are contractually committed to new projects with complexity and a multitude of interfaces, … unfortunately few projects seem to respect the contractual milestones or partial deadlines set at contract signature as well as the costs originally estimated. According to statistics related to project management, less than 30% of projects seem to present success criteria to finish the projects within the contractual costs and deadlines

The audit of a project allows first of all to :

• Confirm the feasibility of the project
• Reassure the company’s project management
• Confirm the possibility of continuing the project and investigate the particular problems of the project
• To find out the disturbances encountered in the execution of a project.

The main purpose of the project audit is to assess:

• The governance and adequacy of the processes deployed for the project,
• The methods and tools related to project management and contract administration

Thus, the analysis of the audit can be presented to the management or to the steering committee in order to decide on the approach and the improvements to be taken into account.

AUDIT THE PROJECT

Mainly the audit requires preparation, including reading the contract, the limits of services of all the project contents.

The MESLI Consulting methodology used is based on the good practices as defined in the PMBOK. An audit opinion is formulated and recommendations will be established in order to mitigate the identified risks and make the customer relationship more fluid.

AUDIT REPORT – PROJECT SUPPORT 

The audit report will be presented by the MESLI Consulting teams to the Project Management or the Executive Committee with the remarks and proposals of solutions to improve the current practices.

The actions can be carried out with the customer for the implementation of a dedicated resource for the project management as well as the contractual management in order to meet your needs. The audit report will highlight a statement of recommendations with an action plan validated upstream .

In a spirit of accompaniment, MESLI Consulting recommends a regular follow-up of the actions carried out on the basis of regular intervals agreed with the customer.
